SHE IS TOO FOND OF BOOKS AND IT HAS TURNED HER BRAIN

SHE IS TOO FOND OF BOOKS AND IT HAS TURNED HER BRAIN

from £18.00

Taken from Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. This was said about Jo, is what i have always though, however having done some more digging for this new update i have found that many say it is in fact from another of Alcott’s work: “Work: A Story of Experience” in which a character called christie is left alone one night upon her guardians return they found she has fallen asleep and the fire has leapt into the room, upon seeing this scene the lady of the house exclaims … She is too fond of book sand it has turned her brain…”

So there we have it! i still will think of it as a quote with reference to Jo, it sums her up so well and being in Alcott’s voice you can well imagine it being said about Jo as well.
